Q.

is fluorosis permanent? it is now on milk teeth's,can I also affect permanent teeth. my kid is 3.5 years old

A. Hi It depends upon the time the excess fluoride exposure happened. please consult a pediatric dentist as soon as the permanent teeth start to erupt. You can do preventive measures as soon as the permanent teeth erupt.

A. Most cases of fluorosis are mild and do not need treatment. In more severe cases, whitening of the teeth, veneers, or other cosmetic dentistry techniques can be used to correct any permanent discoloration. Once a child reaches the age of 8 they are no longer at risk for developing fluorosis.
