Q.

immidiate remedy for caught in 2.5 year old boy? coughing alot at n8 can't sleep

A. Cough is a protective reflex of the body to expel out the mucus or any irritant factor from the respiratory tract which is most of the time assosiated with cold due to any viral or bacterial infection . A proper examinatrion is required to find the cause . As a home remedy you can start with steam inhalation . Cough can be treated with cough suppressant or antitussivegs as per the cause. For cold antihistamines are useful and nasal saline drops are also benifecial .

A. Benadryl Cough Formula Syrup 50 ml contains Ammonium chloride, Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, Sodium citrate and ethanol used to treat cough. Ammonium chloride is an expectorant that increases the volume of fluid in the airways, reduces the stickiness of mucus and helps to remove it from the airways.
