Q.

I've been breastfeeding as well as formula feeding my one week old baby since delivery. But my doctor said the baby is dehydrated and asked to increase the intake of formula milk which resulted in the baby becoming fussy to drink breast milk. I tried hard and somehow made breastfeeding successful and gave few teaspoons of formula milk towards the end of feedin so that she would sleep peacefully. however, when I tried to stop formula milk abruptly, she drinks breastmilk well but doesn't sleep until formula milk is fed. How to change this habit?

A. Hi mom Mother should exclusive breast feed her baby till six months. Breast feed has sufficient water to keep ur baby hydrated. If ur baby is active and comfortable after taking breast feed, not crying then no need to give formula milk to make baby sleep. Cuddle ur baby or give breast feed to make her sleep. This will gradually leave the habit of taking formula milk
