I m Aisha's mother. My daughter is 4 months old . Her birth weight was 2.2 kg. Now she is 5 kg Alhamdulillah. Is there any development delay in future? how can I prevent this.? plz suggest

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear mum, weight of 5 kg is a normal weight for your 4 months old baby considering a birth weight of 2.2 kg. For healthy weight gain, continue to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
