Mom of a 1 yr 2 m old girl

Q. I had c-section delivery in November. My gynaecologist suggested me to take iron and calcium tablets for 3 months after delivery, can I continue after 3 months also?

A. hi can stop iron tablets post 3 months and include iron rich food in diet. continue tsking calcium supplements and milk atleast twice a day till you breast feed take a wholesome nutritious diet and ample amount of fluids to maintain hydration like coconut water buttermilk juices add little lemon in meals wherever possible for proper absorption of iron in the diet

A. Hi.. continue calcium supplement as long as you are breast feeding.. Take high protein contain food like- Milk and ghee and, grains, oatmeals, cereals, pulses, dried fruits, fresh fruits band vegetables,like methi, carrot,garlic, Bottle Gourds, Whole Grains Sprouted spices like Cumin Seeds, Poppy Seeds and Fennel Seed, Fenugreek Seeds. And lots of fluids including clean boiled water, fresh fruit juice, coconut water

A. you need to take calcium till you feed your baby.. iron for three months it's enough... take good intake of greens ..

A. hello..check with your doctor once. .if doctor advises you to continue taking the supplements then yes you should take it...but calcium supplements are to be taken as long as you are breast-feeding...iron check with your doctor
