I delivered my baby in 34week +2 days , 1st week he had jaundice and thorough phototherapy it's gone. After discharge again he got jaundice and it keeps on increasing from 113 to 194 and now it is 254 every 2 days we are doing a blood test to check his bilirubin. Is it normal to have jaundice in newborns and when it goes away?

A. if the levels are increasing repeatedly you should do a proper liver function test and consult with liver specialist to know about the reason and cause and take the treatment according to the findings

A. Jaundice is completely normal and common but the level is actually rising with quite a speed but if the doctors are treating test testing and keeping the child and phototherapy or giving medicines as per the requirement things are going to be proper and once the child gets discharged try to keep your child to indirect sunlight for half an hour to 40 minutes every day that is also going to be helpful .. and start with vitamin D supplement

A. yes ,be strong same happened to my son last year total 4lights first 3days again 11th day in blood report 22billirubin again therapy
total 3times he is in under phototherapy.. finally we think it's gone but after one month normal eyes swollen we taken him for hospital pediatrician suggest blood test
after he suggest syrup it was last one..it's gone plz do whatever doctor said ..put in sunlight 15 mins daily
