Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cow's milk should be given to the baby only after completion of 1 year of age because the protein and fat in cow's milk is hard to digest before that and many a times there could be cow's milk protein allergy in babies and lactose intolerance which could be severe sometimes.
Also early introduction of cows milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia as cow's milk lacks iron and vit c . Also there could be micro bleeding in intestine because of the heavy protein of cow's milk .To start with cow'sk milk should be given than gradually you can shift to buffalo milk or a packet milk which is a mixture of two .

I Agree to what you are saying because your elders are saying that to that so you would completely believe it but I am advising you something which paediatricians have advise even my doctor said the same thing that cows milk can cause allergy to the child infection to the child and even major constipation which is why it is not recommended see I can only tell you what I know is correct rest is completely going to be your choice as to what decision do you want to take

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. Nope See you should stop giving it immediately because it has its own set of side-effects you should not be giving it before the age of 12 months to the child it’s completely restricted by doctors so kindly do not give it shift to any powder milk that you believe is going to be good for the child
