ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist6 years agoA. you can give few sips of water in between and after meals. breastmilk and food also contain water and fulfills the Hydration needs of the baby. a good way to check if baby is getting enough hydration is to check the urine. if baby is passing urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hours and urine is colourless or light yellow in colour then baby is getting enough hydration.

Raina ShuklaMom of a 14 yr 5 m old boy6 years agoA. There is no fixed proportion. Just offer him water after every meal and stop when he refuses to drink more. With such small babies water is not the only fluid they are dependent on. Infact milk is there main source of liquid intake. Focus on that. Apart from this whatever solid or semi solid items he take, he consume water in other form also. Need not to worry about the quantity.
