A. Kids below two years can be given 2-3 nuts and 1-2 dried fruits per day. For 3-5 years kids, giving 2-3 nuts and 2-3 dried fruits in a day actually work for their proper growth. An average toddler generally needs 1,000 to 1,200 calories per day according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. So, it is recommended to limit children's ghee intake to half or one teaspoon a day.Raisins and dried fruits are sticky and hard to chew, so they can be a choking hazard for babies and young children. But if raisins and dried fruits are cut up into small pieces, most doctors say they're okay once your baby becomes proficient at chewing other softer, solid foods, after about 9 to 12 months.
