Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a self-limiting viral infection, Symptomatic treatment includes calamine lotion for skin, Zytee/Dologel for oral ulcers, antihistamines for itching, and paracetamol for fever and pain. The disease typically resolves within 1-1.5 weeks. Keep the child away from others for at least one week due to its contagious nature.
