Hie my baby is 3 month old and he had blood in his stool along with a bit of mucous. Doctor prescribed cefixime 100mg 2.5ml for 5 days . What could be the reason? Ultrasound and stool routine is normal

A. yes its better to give this medici fir five days as urs an infection ok.Best will be to consult a doctor there as well who can practically see the patient and help to get a diagnosis
