hi sir my son is 4 yrs old...just now he have a temperature 99.3...is it a fever...please rply

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 4 years old and he is having his body temperature 99.4 degrees then it’s not a fever but hyper dynamic circulation and needs only plenty of water

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours agcain if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if requiredd like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
