Q.

Hi, my son is now 3 months old and he is passing green stool from past 4 days. He is exclusively on breastfeeding. I am not sure if it is from my diet but I have not eaten anything green in the past 4 days. Is this green stool concerning? He is passing stool almost after every feed..

A. Green poop may indicate a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance in breastfed babies, which results in your baby is getting a larger portion of foremilk (watery milk) than hindmilk (thicker, fattier milk). Though this can cause tummy discomfort, it doesn't indicate a milk supply issue or problem with your milk.
