Hi, my son is 4 months old and he is getting ear irritation he is always rubbing his ear and crying we consulted one doctor last week we are using lidozone drops as doctor suggested still it is persisting is there any problem

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. rubbing of ear as well as itching of the ears is totally normal.
if the child is not crying do not worry about it and to decrease the itching sensation you can apply coconut oil over it.
do not use earbuds to clean the interdnal ear cavity.
external ear can be cleaned with the hfelp of clean cotton cloth.
treatment is given only if the child is crying with pain while itching.
for pain you can give paracetamol
