A. meet proper language / speech development will start between 18 months of age to 3 years of age. there is no need to worry before that just concentrate on the diet and regular interaction with the child. also speech and language develops properly with more people available to interact with the child avoid usage of tv mobile and laptop because they are the most common reasons for delayed speech and language development. the most important thing is that before speech, understanding of the commands given by the parents should be present. by 18 months if the cchild is not following basic commands then only you have to meet the doctor for speech and development assessment. requirement of speech therapy will also be discussed by your doctor.

A. See if your child is speaking properly and understanding every thing as per the age of speech is the problem then yes you can consult a speech therapist once because mostly we expect a child to pick up by the age of three years but if your child hasn’t picked the well but understanding every thing well enough then that is a good sign that means it is no such delay in understanding of the chai but will be on the safer side if you want you can get it examined by the doctorWrite Your Answer Here
