Q. hi, my son is 13 months old and weighs 8.5 kg.. his birth weight is 3.3. he is very active but I am worried about his weight. his height is 2'4". can u pls suggest healthy weight gain foods.

A. You can give nuts like almonds, walnut, raisins, apricots, you can give as snack or as a milkshake or can be added to any porridge or puree. Also give fruits like banana, fig, avocado, mangoes, you can give as milkshake too or add in porridge or puree. You can combine two to three fruits add nuts as well. Blend it and you can give. It's very Heathy. Give milk, curd regularly. Also panner is good. Add ghee, butter, olive oil to daily foods. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin also helps in weight gain. Moong dal and urad dal and jeera should be added in everyday food. For babies above one year old don't give puree. Let them chew and eat. If they find difficulties in Chewing. Mash a little and puree a little later stop giving purees.
