Cough and Cold should be ideally treated only after a proper clinical examination by a doctor.it may be any infective  or allergic.it is not so related to food items like banana etc.but seasonal changes may aggravate. 
if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times.
Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given according to the type of cough .self medication is not advisable. if the cough is productive you can give kufril-ls syrup for now .avoid refrig ye werated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.at times coughing may take more time to resolve.

but the cough is continuous. I started giving kufril ls from yesterday night till how many days should I continue to give? the sound of cough much I rustle at last her mouth and lips becomes reddish. she is not so active but no fever.
