You have to just see the child should not be uncomfortable which may be because of factors like temperature of the room nasal blockage some discomfort like infantile colic or hunger.
In oldfer children a proper discipline is required so that the sleeping pattern can be scheduled according to a proper time try to avoid too much of screen time with sometvgimes cang be the causative factor for disturbed sleep.

Yes such child should definitely sleep for at least 8 to 10 hours minimum if not 16 hours because it is important for a child to sleep for at least 8 to 10 hours in a date that’s not happening then you should consult a specialist for that because I don’t know why your doctor has advised to use laser drops but if there is also not helping you kindly consult a child specialist one time
