Hi, my baby is 8 weeks old now...for 6 week vaccination DTwP 1, IPV 1, Rotavirus 1 has been given from the government..is that necessary to provide another 3 vaccinations (i.e. Hep-B2, Hb1 and PCV 1) or these are also included in that..

A. Hi. These which are given in the government are compulsory. Hib and Hep B are included in the dose. PCV is optional as it is expensive. So that you have to decide.

Q. #AskTheExpert hello doctor, 1 . I wanted to give my child pcv vaccine , but I was not aware of it at that time(all his dpt/dtp vaccine are given now only dtp boosters are left) , now my son is of 8 months, can I still give him PCV vaccination ? 2. My child got two IPV vaccines one at 6 weeks and one at 14 weeks , he missed one vaccine or only two vaccines are enough? 3. Also in firstcry vaccination tracker they have mentioned 3 doses of rotavirus, but my son got only 2 doses one at 6 weeks and other 10 weeks? 4. In firstcry vaccination tracker they have mentioned typhoid vaccination at 6 months, but my sons vaccination card(given by government says that typhoid vaccine should be given at age of more than 12 months), so I haven't given him typhoid vaccine yet? He got all vaccinations from government hospital.
