Q.

Hi, my baby is 7 days old and sleep most of the time. its so difficult to feed him. In the beginning, we were feeding him in every 2 hour and he was taking also but now he takes his feed after 3.5-4.5 hour..and sometimes forcefully even after this much gap. He doesn't cry nor he has any other problem. He just sleeps. Is it normal?

A. meet your doctor and if the weight gain is adequate then no need to worry about the sleep pattern but if the weight gain is not adequate then yes you will have to offer milk with the help of katori and spoon also if the child is not taking breastfeeding directly

A. it is very common that during the initial one or two months this will happen but it is very important to give feeding every to hourly to the child by clicking the soles of the child and making the child awake

A. Hello mom Yes this is totally normal. In starting few months baby sleep a lot but you have to wake your baby up in every two hours to feed baby and baby should take at least 20 to 40 feed at a time. Even in night you have to repeat the feeding in every two hours. Happy parenting Stay home stay safe
