Q.

Hi, my baby is 5 weeks old. From past week he is having poop issues. He pooped after 4 days with the help of suppository (advised by his pedi) and then he pooped after 2 days, himself and after that, now its been 2 days since he pooped. He farts a lot and the farts are really stinky. Is this alright?

A. And about smelly farts? Are those normal?

A. if the consistency of the stool is normal that is semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency of the stool. the frequency can vary for 4 to 5 times perd day and sometimes the child will not pass stool for few days also. also do no worry about colour and smell of the stool when stool consistency is semisolid to solid. you have to meet the dr only if it is totally watery stool or it is hard stoold or the child is having pain while passing the stool.
