Q.
Hi my baby is 1yr 4 month old He is suffering from fever since yesterday morning today I have showed him to Dr he gave him calpol syrup 5 ml. I gave him calpol 5 ml at 5:00 pm and at 8:00 he is suffering from 100.9 of armpit temperature. Plz suggest what should I do can I give him medicine in 5 hrs of interval and now he is suffering fromm running nose too

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. yes, can repeat calpol in 5 hours if temperature rises again..
Give tepid sponging..Always use room temperature water/tap water..not cool, because shivering can actually raise your baby's temperature rather than help bring it down.
The child should also be encouraged to drink fluids to replace those lost through sweating.
