Q.

Hi my baby is 17 months old and still has flat head/plagiocephaly on one side. Has any other parent experienced the same? Has any parents' child shown improvement in the head shape as the age progresses?

A. even I waited as there was no other option. my child is 2 yrs n 4 months old and his flat head is still visible. there's nothing much that can be done.. I have tried repositioning, mustard seed pillow but nothing happened. it has definitely become better than what it was but not gone completely. it's still visible and it worries me the most.

A. hi, My baby has plagiocephaly and I was told by his doctor that his head will round off by time... I dont see that happening till now.. I'm really concerned.. what can be done as we dont have helmet treatment available in India

A. many times it may take up to two years for proper shaping of the head of the child. also in some children it is a possibility that such a shape might be a genetic variant so your pediatrician will tell you you why the child is having such type of head at this age also after examination
