Hi, My baby is 1.7 yrs old and he is weighing 9.2 kg. his birth weight 2.3 kg and he was born at 35 weeks. is his weight normal ?

A. Hello mom yes .. As he was a preterm baby they tend to gain weight slightly on a slow pace but they do catch up and inspite that he had a good birth weight .babies do triple their birth weight by the age of 1 year and then yearly they gain about 2 to 4 kg
