Q.
hi.. my baby boy is one month old.. whenever he poops he puts in lots of pressure and cries. what could be the reason.. plz advise

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. constipation is common problem in children in which diet modification is important like including high fibres in the diet for which you can give seasonal fruits like papaya, watermelon and seasonal vegetables will also help , can give daliya or oatsmeal also to your child which is rich in fibres and nutrients too.
giving excess of milk may also cause constipation, so you should limit its quantity.also avoid banana which may aggravate .lactulose or polyethylene glycol is of good help, sorbilene is also an alternative but you should give any medicine or suppository only when prescribed by your pediatriciaun.. medication is the secondary option.diet modification is the key.plenty of liquids are of great help too.
