Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its knovhwn as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than git could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

Yes when a child starts to have teeth and lose motions are very common so you can give probiotic to the child and also ask your doctor if if you need to shift to lactose free milk for the child for the timing because lactose is going to increase loose motion issues
