Hi mam..my daughter is 8 years old..from the start of November month she was suffering from cold cough and last week flu fever.. still having cough sometimes..is it normal mam?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 8 m old boy2 years agoA. it is in diagnosis of allergic cough cold . here the child will have regular cough and cold which is usually not associated with fever . it increases and decreases but does not get cured completely. dr will give anti allergic medicine usually motelukast / levocetirizine. if its still not improving the next line of treatment will be inhahler therapy with mdi / nebulizer. allergy can be environmental (temperature variation -hot to cold weather/ cold water intake / dust / smoke / pollens) , food , chocolate / packet preservatives food and sweet food also. body cannot sustain such allergic chanuges leading to cough cold usually at evening /night and morning.
