Q.

Hi mam, my baby is 2 months old but still I am experiencing pain during and after feeding. Tried correcting the latch but I feel that her tongue is not between the jaws which is causing pain in tha areola as well. Is it possible for the baby to drink milk by having tongue inside jaws and pressing against the breast using jaws? If so how do I resolve the problem?

A. Very important to see that position and attachment while breastfeeding the child is proper. If improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk Meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this. See videos on you tube for breastfeeding position attachment. Take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk for increasing breast milk. Take 15 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor. you can meet lactational expert
