Q.
Hi.I have delivered my baby on 10th may 2024. i I am finding issues in breastfeeding latching as my nipples were flat n small and aerola ia thick ans swollen. I am in jammu and there is no LC available here. please suggest

Author of questionGuardian of a 1 yr 10 m old girl1 Year agoA. I tried nipple shields and pumps but not much of a use for me. i want direct latching from my breasts.. I tried consulting my gynae but in jammu no gynae helps with this issue. please suggest if I take the help of online LC consultation instead of physical, would it be of any help??

You should use a nipple shield that really helps a lot for women who are flat nipples so you can try that other than that if you’re swelling also you can use ice compress that is going to be helpful if you’re facing more of a problem it’s okay don’t consult a lactation specialist if they do not have available you can always consult your gynaecologist
