Hi...I am expecting my first child and I am almost 40 weeks pregnant...and I am not having any sign of labour or contractions...how long should I wait to get induced?

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. According to many experts, it is normal for 40 weeks of pregnancy to not give birth or to give birth earlier (from 37 to 38 weeks). However, if this delay in labor goes on for too long (when the pregnancy is over 41 weeks), it will make the placenta old, threatening the health and safety of the baby's life.
