hi I am Arpana singh my son is 5 yrs old from last 10 days he is doing cough (khaansi) I have shown to dr also but their medicine is not working what should I do he is not getting relief he is continuously doing cough I have tried home remedies also but nothing works प्लीज़ suggest me what should I do प्लीज़ tell me any medicine so he can get relief and can go to school again.

CharuMom of a 7 yr 11 m old boy2 years agoA. Get him checked by doctors. Give him cough syrup levolin but first ask your doctor. Breatheasy nebulization will not help in coughing, Consult your doctor for levolin and duolin nebulization. I have been through with this problem with my child also. plz donot give anything without your doctors consult.

I am giving regular nebulize 3 times a day and giving tulsi black pepper hot water,ginger blackpepper honey mixture , medicine dr recommend me is citirizen and augmentin duo 3.3gm/30ml syrup but nothing giving him relief for nebulizer I m using breatheasy but nothing works it's been 10 days he can't go to school plz help

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold and fever most of the time is a viral illness or allergic and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration needs to be maintained. you can give steam inhalation which may be useful .
cough needs to be treated with medicine like anti allergic expectorant bronchodilators antitussives or cough suppresents medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough and need.
In severe cough nebulisation can be given where medicine directly gets dilivered in the respiratory tract.
Also if feverg is there paracetamol can be givenf to reduce the fever and the dose is 15 mg/ kg body weight and can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
Home remedies like Tulsi & ginger mix in honey can be tried for soothing.

Give turmeric milk twice daily
Maintain hydration
Consult with your doctor in person for proper physical examination and treatment see your own treating doctor can guide you more and can solve your problems
