hi good afternoon.. my baby is 6weeks now she is having cold and cough with fever 99.5-100degrees F. kindly suggest me treatment bcz she is having vaccine at 6weeks.

hi j avoid cold climate, cold winds.

give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby.

indirect steam , hot water bath will also help.

consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases.

post illness babies might be cranky , irritable.

nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position.

feed by spoon otherwise.

Maintain hygiene.

if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections.

thank u so much for your response madam... it's a village so pediatrician is not available. so little bit tensed madam .... she is drowsy and taking less feeds.
