hi doctor our baby is around 11 days old weight around 2.48 kgs last week we are breastfeeding him for around 15 minutes every time approximately 8 to 10 times a day is there any need of additional formula feed for him considering that he is already having enough breast milk if yes how much formula feed do we need to feeding

A. Hi, Newborn baby will take around 30 to 50 ML of milk once in every two hours. Make sure to breastfeed once in every two hours for about 15 to 20 minutes and burp your baby well after every feed. Check the urine count baby should pass urine 6 to 8 times in a day or more than that. Else nothing to worry. If babies weight is gaining normally then no need of formula milk.
