Q.

hi doctor, my son with age of 7years suffering from fever and cold, cough.please suggest medicine

A. This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes around child. For cold / running nose give syp allegra 5 ml twice daily to the child. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold) Prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal congestion and block. For wet coughing you can give syrup ascoril LS 5ml twice daily to the child Indirect steam help in decreasing coughinzg For fever and pain give paracetamol Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water comzbination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm water to drink.

A. Hello dear parent! If temperature rises above 99 you can start giving paracetamol drops to reduce the intensity of fever. Keep Babyhug medicine spoon handy for your baby. Consult your doctor for further evaluation and advice
