Hi Doctor. My son is 7 years old and having cough, cold. he is coughing so badly and have mucus in his cough what medicines can I give him?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilatorjhs or antitussives megdicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Since you are saying that there is coughing so I would advise you to go ahead with using Darbar Honitus that’s one of the safest and the best options or you can go for cherry cough kids as well along with that since you are saying that there is too much of congestion the coughing is happening then you can go ahead with nebulising the child as well at least twice a day for a weekWrite Your Answer Here
