Hi doctor. my son is 13 months. He's got fever on 11th. after blood test, x ray n urine test, pediatrician confirmed it as viral fever. from 12th we are giving medicine to him. fever not receding...it keeps coming n going with temperature of 100, 101 .cold and cough also increased. how many days will it take for viral fever to cure in children. is it normal of fever coming n going for viral ?

It Can easily take 5 to 7 days for arrival to subside but along with medicines you please try to give good amount of liquids to the child to maintain hydration in the body and cool in the body otherwise with so many medicine the child can easily have heat rashes also have patients the medicines are going to work but it would take decent time to settle down

viral fever last long for 6 to 7 days.. continue with medication. keep temperature checking 6 hourly..
Fevers higher than 104° F. should be attended to immediately.
Dress your child lightly. Use a sheet instead of a blanket to cover her in bed.
Breastfeed or give your baby formula often to maintain hydration of body.
Give soft easy to digest diet.
maintain proper hygein.

hey mom..its seems like u feel helpless n restless..after trying all ur efforts to cure ur baby..virals are spreading all over the country specially in children..it will take tym this are the medicine u hv to wait for the results there is no option u hv to...medicine hai mam.. miracle nai h na..aap dus dr. k pass v jaogi to kya hga aapko medicine khila kr wait to krna hi pdega ki kis meficine ka asar ho v rha h ki nai..but yes dnt bath ur baby try giving massge as much u can..try to avoid water usage for urself...if b/f..maintain a good hygiene around..dnt panic...u r a mom now u hv to be strong..see puja is going around everywhere..some dr. are on leave..try as per ur dr. prescribed for a while now..nd yes dnt lose hope it will take tym to recover
