My son in almost 6 and a very shy kid. He never makes eye contact with others. He will also not take initiative to speak in his class. He is very selective with his friends.
Am very much worried about it.
How to change him.I always try to tell him stories about how to talk and how to be, but no change.

it is very important to spend more time with your child. you have to observe at what time the child is behaving in such a manner. you may have to take help of your family members as well as clinical psychologist if necessary.
many times such behaviour may be due to some stress the child might be having as well as it might be due to some behaviourf issues.
you can meet your doctor who will guide you what steps can be taken tod improve the behaviour of the child.
the most common is usually loss of time given to the child due to the busy parents as well as due to tv mobile and laptop exposure which is not moderated.
