hi doctor my kid started physical classes last month and since then has peri anal itching i have dewormed him with a single dose of albendazole how often is deworming to be repeated

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children3 years agoA. School going kids are advised to be dewormed once in every six months. A worm infection can be suspected if there is a loss of appetite, stomach aches, nausea, vomit or itchiness around anus, sleeplessness, weight loss, blood or worms in stools etc., in that case you can consult with your pediatrician and give the medicine early if required.
