Hi Doctor, My baby was 4years 8months old suffering from fever with chills since evening, we have started pcm 250mg syrup but still my baby is having full fever with chills.please suggest me

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infecdtion or any inflammatotry process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating.
and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

Sowmya MMom of 4 children3 years agoA. hello actually in this case I would like to recommend you to please consult your doctor immediately some a medication is required which can be given in the hospital itself so better to check with your doctor and keep you baby warm
