Hi doctor, my baby seems to have fever and body temp looks hot than usual. Yesterday temp was around 99.5 and now it's 96.3.
Do I need to give any drops for this

Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .other medicine like mefenamic acid ibuprofen can also bhue given .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. 
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. 
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

The usual dose of paracetamol for children is 10-15 mg per kilogram of weight. In other words, if a child weighs 20 kg it should have 10-15mg x 20, which is 200-300 mg. This dose can be taken once every 4 to 6 hours, up to 4 times in 24 hours if needed
