Q.
Hi doctor My baby is in 7th month i have started solids for her now the problem is she suffers from constipation. Sometimes i use glycerine suppository and sometimes I give her figolax. Is this safe for a baby? Plz suggest me what to do?

afreen wasimMom of a 3 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. hello mommy u can add fibre vegetables and fruits in ur baby food chart and gove 2 cups of water per day... it will help from baby constipation thank u

Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . yofyu can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Mexdications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
