Q.

Hi Doctor, My baby has started taking solid food thrice a day however I have noticed that her regular intake of milk has drastically come down. She is crawling and walking a little with support now so she has also lost a lot of weight. Am worried that her low milk intake will effect her weight and growth. Could you please suggest on ways to increase her milk intake.

A. hi dear Finger foods are often enjoyed at this age. Babies don't need teeth to eat table foods as long as they are broken into small pieces. Offer a variety of fruits, vegetables, cereal, breads, pasta, lean meat, and formula or breast milk.Babies readily eat cereal, cooked noodles, soft breads, and rice. It's just as easy to give them enough dairy, since babies this age still drink breast milk or formula daily. Don't forget to serve extra protein in the form of chicken, fish, beans, or eggs
