Q.

Hi Doctor. my 3 year old son having fever since he came back from the scholl i have given crocin syrup at 4 Pm and aroud 9 Pm again having temprature given the crocin syrup please suggest

A. for fever as well as pain kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature. also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give paracetamol. higher medicines for fever like ibugesicz and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation. after givingx fever medicines you can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving. keep the child in cool atmosphere

A. You can repeat the medicine after every six hours and if the fever is more than hundred degrees Fahrenheit then you can also do cold sponging that also helps a lot in reducing down the temperature
