Hi doc - my son will be 7 years this month. He has fever, running nose and mild cough since Aug 3. His weight is 25kilos, I started giving him half tablet of paracetamol 650mg since 3days, he continues to have mild fever 100 - 101.5 F. For cough I give him honitus syrup. Should I consult a doctor?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cofuuugh expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic hmedicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
