Hello! Whenever I breastfeed my baby, he kept himself busy in biting my nipple instead of feeding.. What should I do?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. this behaviour is very common during 4 months to 6 months of age and many times the child gets diverted. you have to just go for demand feeding and if the child is playing then you can stop breastfeeding the child at that time

Babies do this and this is very common but it doesn’t mean that baby is not taking proper milk. While biting also baby suck the nipples and get sufficient milk for them. So don’t worry. If it is hurting you then you can use nipple shields to cover your nipples.
