My son is 6.5 years old and every year during August September month he catches cough and cold which extends for 4 months. can you please suggest some remedies to avoid such a situation reoccurring.

Sir with allergy and cold cough he also get fever. from last 2 years that converts to neumonia and becomes terrible for him to breath. his nose gets congested and heavy chest sound can be heard just by sitting next to him.

it is in diagnosis of allergic cough cold .
here the child will have regular cough and cold which is usually not associated with fever .
it increases and decreases but does not get cured completely.x
dr will give anti allergic medicine usually motelukast / levocetirizine. if its still not improving the next line of treatment will be inhaler therapy with mdi / nebulizer.
allergy can be environmental (temperature variation -hot to cold weather/ cold water intake / dust / smoke / pollens) , food , chocolate / packet preservatives food and sweet food also.
body cannot sustain such allergic changes leading to cough cold usually at evening /night and morning.
