Q.

Hello, my son is 14 months old, he can't chew, so I give him food, as khichdi, milk and bread by using a mixer to make a thick paste. He also eats rawa halwa, dry ruits powder fruit puree, and homemade cerelac. is it okay or I should give something that he can chew.?

A. hello dear now child should be having all family foods the way prepared no grinding it will create problematic eating behaviour and not full fill nutrition requirements start with soft foods, like small pieces of chapati dip in Dal rather than blended let child self feed give finger foods eating alongwith the family

A. hello you should slowly try to change the consistency of the food that you give for the child and this way the child will get used to it and learn chewing and you can also encourage your child to chew food by giving soft food which would be better
