Q.

Hello, My girl is 1 yr and 4 months and weighs 8.5 kg. she is having fever from yesterday night. gave 4 ml p-125 syrup last night and today morning. still having fever and not taking any good. Am i good with the dose? can I give some in noon? someone please advice.

A. her weight is 8.6 and my p-125 syrup power is 120mg/5ml. I breastfeed her around 9.30 and gave the syrup as she is not taking any other food. can I give some dose in noon too if fever doesn't settle? please advise sir.

A. The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever To body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and shouldf be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. Higher medicines whetherf required or not will be told by the doctor.
