whether higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p)are required or not will be told by the doctor.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as feverf
do body sponge and give plenty of water to drink and easily digestible food.

Calpol you can give to the child as of now or any other paracetamol that you have available for cold and cough I would suggest you to give ginger juice and honey mixture to your child thrice in a day and also you can give wikoryl kids to your child thrice in a day for cold
