hello my baby is 7 n half months old now from yesterday morning he is has fever no cold n cough just body temperature is high i have given him calpol drop still be is irritated n his gums are swollen is this teething fever ...??

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or mzore is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher me,dicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
